The Last of Us: Remastered, Coming to PS4
Remastered for the PS4, one of last year's best games will look better than ever.
The Last of Us was one of the last generation's highlights. Naughty Dog delivered a cinematic experience worth any gamer's attention. Released just a few months before the PS4, people always suspected a second release – and luckily, they were right and then some.
Coming this summer, The Last of Us Remastered will be a significant graphical upgrade: it's running at 1080p and Naughty Dog is "targeting 60fps". Specific changes include improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures and higher resolution character models. TLOU already looked good on the PS3, so it'll really shine on PS4.
If the updated visuals aren't enough, there are several other perks. If toggled on, all in-game cinematics will have exclusive director's commentary from Creative Director and Writer Neil Druckmann, and the voices of both Joel and Ellie (Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson respectively). To sweeten the deal further, Naughty Dog is throwing in all three major content releases:
- Left Behind - Single Player Expansion
- Abandoned Territories - Multiplayer Map Pack
- Reclaimed Territories - Details coming soon.
If you missed The Last of Us the first time around, this could be a perfect opportunity. For fans of the game, it looks like Naughty Dog is pulling together an experience worthy of your consideration once more. Whichever category you're in, keep an eye out for The Last of Us Remastered in the coming months.
Note: There's also an entire stockpile of preorder bonuses. If you're into that, check 'em out!
