Check out the latest information on changes to the core League of Legends map.

Yesterday, Riot Games released a five-minute video showcasing changes to League of Legends' Summoner's Rift map. In brief they include:

• Emphasis on clarity; making gameplay information more readable
• Navigation is easier with the updated environment
• Each quadrant has a unique theme, making it easier to orient yourself on the map
• A "handcrafted art style" was used because they think it will be able to "evolve over time"
• Monsters have some personality now that plays to their characteristics
• The architecture of the two bases "comes from animal inspirations"
• Work on the map is still in progress; keep in-touch on the Summoner's Rift hub
