Moonlight Enchantments Start Tonight!Aug 19th, 2014 at 2:48 PM by Calthine

New items will be available when the monthly event kicks off on August 21st.

The monthly live event Moonlight Enchantments starts tonight! The grottos will open on the 20th at 12:01am PDT and close on the 21st at 11:59pm PDT. The time applies directly with no conversion to all servers.

As mentioned at SOE Live and in Tuesday's patch notes, this month there are new items available in the grottos!  

There is also a new Achievement! Complete all the grotto collections to get your Moonlit Mushroom Ring! Check out our Moonlight Enchantments guide and peek at the rewards.

got an answer from a gm. it is a bug and they will correct it. not sure what that means for us but nice that they are aware.

Oh, wait. You don't get the reward for each collection. You get the reward once, for finishing all the collections and completing the achievement. The only way to get 24 rings is to have 24 characters who have done all the collections.

Anything else, you've probably found a bug.

after logging in some of my characters and checking my collections, I think I found out what the game is doing.
it is checking to see of you have discovered all the collections instead of checking to see if you completed them.
my chars that have discovered but not completed the moonlight collections are getting the achievement and ring as soon as I log on that character.
my characters that have not discovered the collections are not getting anything.

each collection has a reward when you finish it. like a dryad for one of them. that was what i was talking about. however, the way i got 24 mushroom rings is that it was a bug. all higher toons got them without having done the collections. i was worried that i wouldn't be able to finish the collections but it turns out only the achievement was bugged, not the individual collections so i still get to finish them. and a gm answered me and assured me they were aware of the bug and fixing it.

not sure if this was how it was supposed to work, but i double checked and my toons that did not complete the collections can still do so. not sure why they got the reward though.

however, they didn't complete the collections and didn't get the rewards for them. I know about 6 of my toons did, but i now have over 24 mushroom circles and counting. that means i lose all of those rewards on the ones who didn't finish them that's a shame. i really wanted the other rewards.

it was a good idea that went terribly wrong.

I'm not sure I understand... the achievement should be staying, so couldn't your toons just finish those collections and get their rings? Or am I reading what you're saying wrong?

yes. when i went in later to check the toons and make sure they still had the collection quest, i found that they did. it was a bug. i can now finish the individual collections. I really wish this forum would revert to root thread automatically the way eq2 forums do. i didn't see the replies until this morning when i remembered to hit "root thread" button.
