Minecraft Fails Final PS4 Tests
Sony has sent Minecraft back to 4J Studios after finding issues with the PS4 build.
If you have been waiting for Minecraft to be released on the PlayStation 4, then we have some sad news for you. 4J Studios, the studio behind all console ports of the popular sandbox game, announced today through twitter that Sony had found issues with the PS4 version of Minecraft. 4J Studios is hard at work fixing the issues, but will then have to resubmit Minecraft for PS4 and go through the same testing processes again.
4J Studios tweeted just over a week ago that they had sent the build to Sony for final tests. If the second round of tests takes just as long on Sony's end, it is unlikely that Minecraft for PS4 will release in the original August release window.
4J Studios is also working on making Minecraft for Xbox One and Minecraft for PSVita. On August 12, 4J tweeted that they were still hard at work fixing bugs with those two versions. No new updates have been given for these editions.
