FFXIV: Pre-orders Start for Heavensward
Pre-orders are now open for the FFXIV: Heavensward expansion coming in June.
The Heavensward expansion is coming to Final Fantasy 14 on June 23rd, but you can pre-order the expansion now! The expansion will come in four versions: Collector's, Digital Collector's, Standard and All-in-One bundle. While the two Collector's editions are the only ones getting additional items above the base expansion, any edition that pre-orders will get some exclusive bonuses including an early access period for the expansion.
The physical Collector's Edition will run players $129.99 and includes the following physical content in a "Dragonsong War" box featuring art from artist Yoshitaka Amano:
- Dragon Mount Figure
- Heavensward Art Book
- A Realm Reborn Movie Blu-ray Disc -- A high-definition compilation of all the trailers for A Realm Reborn.
In addition to this, the Collector's Edition includes the following in-game items:
- Flying Griffin Mount
- Dark Knight Cecil-themed Baron Helm
- Wind-Up Kain minion
- Fantasia (Potion that allows editing your character's appearance)
The Digital Collector's Edition will only include the four in-game items, but has the reduced price of $59.99. The Standard edition will run $39.99 for just the Heavensward expansion and the All-in-One will include both Heavensward and the base A Realm Reborn game for $59.99.
No matter which edition you choose, you will receive additional in-game items for pre-ordering the expansion before its launch. In addition to the following in-game items, players will get early access to Heavensward starting June 19, four days before the official expansion's launch.
- Baron Circlet
- Baron Earrings
- Chocobo Chick Courier minion
Heavensward will require players to have completed the main scenario of A Realm Reborn, so players are urged to finish that before the release. Because of this limitation, players can only benefit from the early access pre-order perk if the main scenario is already completed by then.
Heavensward will launch on June 23 for the PC, PS3 and PS4 as well as an All-in-One bundle on Mac as the launch of FFXIV for the Mac. All versions are available for pre-order on the Square Enix store.
