Nintendo stated today that the Gamecube will be released in the United States on November 5, 2001, just in time for the Christmas rush. The suggested retail price of this will be $199.95, significantly below the $299 price tag of Nintendo's two closest rivals: Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's Playstation 2. There will be 6 titles available at the time of release.
