World of Warcraft Collector's Edition Giveaway

Wow what a contest! The World of Warcraft Collector's Edition has been hard to find almost from the day the game got released, and is simply not available in any stores anywhere right now (even the regular editions are almost impossible to find). Copies of this are going on EBay for over $200 each. Recently, EB Games discovered a couple hundred Collector's Editions in their warehouse and we were able to buy 10 of them before they were quickly sold off for $150 each on their site. Now we are giving those copies away. This may well be your best chance to get a copy of this game for months. Interested? Check out this link for more details.

This is so not true

I don't know where they are getting their information, but I recently saw about 10+ copies of WoW at Wal-Mart. So if people are complaining they can't find the game, go to Wal-Mart or to Wal-Mart's website. If there is a shortage then it is on the uber popular EB Games, Gamespot, cheapassgamer.com, etc. The other thing is, people go out and buy 10 copies of the game for $50 then turn around and sell it on eBay. It's a dog eat dog world, and we're all wearing Milkbone underwear.

Okay, I am only gonna say this one time, "Collector's Edition," not the Regular Edition!!

Walmart did sell the Collector's edition for $78.82 but have been out of stock forever just like everyone else. This is the reason that the people who have them are selling them for $150.

link for you -> http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/242464.asp

and here is the walmart link if you dont believe me->

Please dont just speed-read a topic and reply.

That is the part I was replying to, don't talk down to me about "speed reading." And before you decide to bash me about something, then you should bash everyone else on this site for posting mismatched information or complete jibberish. "The wisest man in the world is not the one who speaks constantly; but is the one who says the least or not a word." Valuabale advice.

This wasn't an attack, this was stating that your claim of "not true" was false.

And you are the one who claimed in your post that the item is available at Walmart, which is false. Now you come back and say that they are hard to find? I though your title was "This is so not true," and there were 10 copies of it at Walmart? Why change your story now? Cause you were wrong!

Well since you spoke first, maybe you should heed your own advice. And since you were so nice to give me some words of wisdom to live by (which obviously you don't), let me give you some elementary school words of wisdom. "Look before you walk, read before you write, think before you speak, and most importantly, drive before you drink."

That and to get more people to support this site. It also nice to reward premium members with chances at rewards for their loyality. They have every right to post this wherever they want to on their site.

Also, many of the people who use this site don't have a premium account but continually complain about the content. If you don't support them, you have no room to complain. You can't expect the people who run this to do all the legwork for you for little or no reward. Support Allakhazam, sign up now!

Nice Offer

I notice you have a offer up for 3 months 6 months and 12 months. I don't have much money in my WebSite I use often pool so usally i split that pool up on some websites. Try out the premimum and if it's worth it i'll get the bigger one.

It would be really nice if you had like 1 month membership 5$ but... you proberly have a reason for NOT having that membership.

so i'm not complaining and i think it's a good contest.

It's all about bank fees. Visa/MC takes a set fee plus a percentage for each charge. At the low rates we charge, the difference in fees between letting people sign up month to month as opposed to 3 months at a time is huge. I'd probably have to raise our fees to make up for it. I know $10 is not nothing, but still it isn't a ton of money. I figure anyone willing to pay at all for the site would be willing to risk $10 to see what he gets. I am also confidant that anyone signing up will be so happy with what they get that they will sign up again. That's why we are willing to give memberships away to anyone who buys a game through EBGames.

F--king crybabies. Get over yourselves. Just because you play FFXI doesn't make you better than anyone else. Its their site, they can put up whatever the hell they want. Be grateful they care enough to do stuff like this. If I was the owner of the site and saw those posts I'd shut down the FFXI sites for a few days just to show you you're not as high and mighty as you think you are.

To the admin: Thank you for all your hard work. Not everyone is as ungrateful as these bastards.

p.s. The only online game I play/come to these forums for is FFXI.

That's exactly why I came here was to post this. I've lost many linkshellies and friends to WoW, and I'm simply hate it. Not to be nasty, but in the future please leave us FFXI-ites out of your WoW wet dreams.

How'd the WoW community feel if you went to their site and thrown something up regarding FFXI?

I posted this on every site we have. I thought it was pretty obvious why, but I will try to explain. We have premium members on every site. I assume those who pay for a premium membership and play FFXI would not want to be left out of a chance to win free stuff simply because the game that is being given away doesn't happen to be FFXI. If we were giving away free ipods, would you complain that this was a game site and not a music site? This isn't a promotion of WoW. It's simply a giveaway of some very nice, hard to find items to those who support the site and make it run. If you are not interested, please move on to the next post.

I'm also glad it got posted to all sites, for the same reason. I'm interested in WoW, but it won't run at all on my PC, and my SO's needs a video card update. So I'm not going to run out and buy it anytime soon, but hey, if I can get a free copy, I'll probably upgrade one of our PCs soon than planned. ;)

Amazing how some people will find something to gripe about. I would have missed out if it wasn't posted on the FFXI page (since that's the only site I check); you can't even give something away anymore without people complaining. Smiley: oyvey

(And no, I don't plan on quitting FFXI anytime soon when/if I do ever get WoW, I still have too many jobs I want to get AF pieces for!) ;)

I, for one, am happy that it got posted on all the sites. I don't play WoW (yet), so I don't check the news over there. My sweetie has been getting burnt out on FFXI, so he's been playing WoW and it looks like a nice change of pace. (For all the WoW haters out there, I don't have any intention of quitting FFXI, I'd just like to be able to play a game with my loved one that he doesn't currently hate.)

WoW IS impossible to find in my area. All the gaming stores within 100 miles are sold out of any copies. EB's and Gamestop's online stores are on backorder. Last time I checked, the Blizzard site wasn't selling them either. The only copies anyone has left are $150 collector's edition versions and, while they are nice, I'm not paying that much. (Especially when they used to be going for ~$70.)

Its a nice offer but posting that here on the FF11 main page seems to be of questionable taste. Anyone else agree?
