Version Update Highlights

Many new features, as well as improvements to existing game mechanics, are planned for the upcoming version update. In today's Topics, we'd like to bring you a taste of what's in store.

New Areas

Along with the introduction of a new battle system "Salvage," the previously restricted access to the Ruins of Alza'daal will be lifted, allowing players free reign to explore the entire region.
Also, several unreachable sections of both the Bhaflau Thickets and the Caedarva Mire will become accessible, and adventurers will be able to encounter the creatures that inhabit those locations.

Mog Lockers

The maximum capacity for Mog Lockers will be increased to 70 items.

New Quests

Several new quests, including a story that centers on Aht Urhgan's Serpent Generals, are planned for the upcoming version update.

Experience Points in Besieged

The experience point reward in Besieged will become obtainable as limit points.

Tu'Lia

After meeting certain requirements, it will become possible to travel directly to Tu'Lia from the Hall of Transference (found beneath the Crags of Holla, Dem, and Mea).

Fellows

The Fellow system will be adjusted so that your fellow no longer disappears when you change areas.
*Fellows will still disappear if the area you enter is not an area in which fellows can normally be called.

I agree with pomco on making mobs drop more gils with every kill. This would eliminate some of the NM camping that you see on every server. I can probably say this for everyone that it would be a lot more fun to run around slaughtering countless goblins or beastmen with a hit or two instead of staying in one spot waiting countless hours for a NM to pop only to have it taken from you by a botter. Also, here is a funny thing, when you beat a botter to claim, they report YOU for cheating. Isn't that funny as hell? So yeah, if mobs did drop more gil that would help out a lot. That provides an easier way of getting the gil you need.

On another note, making more items either Rare, Exclusive, or R/Ex would help lower the camping on some NMs around the servers. I'm sure everyone can think of a lot of items that should be like that. I can't really think of much items right now, except for some that I have wanted/tried for in the past. One good item could be the Monster Signa.

If they banned the name on a credit card alot of normal people would be banned too. It isn't unheard of that ALOT of people share the same name. It's hard to do something even similar to what you say without banning the wrong people. I'll even bet in their RMT banning they've banned some innocent people too.

If they really wanted to stop the RMT problem, they'd have to do only one thing. Instead of just banning the account or credit card used to open the content IDs... ban the name on the Credit Card. They can always buy a new copy of the game or get a new Credit Card but I'd like to see an entire company explain why most of their employes need to apply for name changes ever couple of months so they can get new credit cards n such >.<

The "Supply and demand" goes further than in game for gil
Gilsellers have the real money {supply} SE wants it, {demand}
the banning won't attack the accounts that pay SE the boat loads
of real cash, SE would lose to much money that way.
They have all those useless GM's to pay.

wonder what "Salvage" battle system is. maybe i have not read enough on alla, but wonder if it will be a new kind of assault where "teams" race for a goal... against eachother >.> hmmm... and moglocker goes from 30 to 70? or are there quests like for mog houses to expand the locker?

also, what inaccessable areas in caerderva mire and bhaufau thickets are they talking about? the limit points in besieged wont be too bad. but they should at least do something about if you die before besieged is over, you dont get squat. last few times in besieged, the HNM generals killed me less than 5 seconds before they warped out. so i got nothing. i was activly killing and helping assist kill mobs thru a lv6 besieged too. /cry

I'd like to see some other MMO's events or something simalar to them be implicated into ffxi, like.. scheduled days where, say, all bastok people get double exp, or all sandy ppl get double exp... and being able to lower your level at will, EQ2 has a option called "mentoring" where you can take a character and drop thier level to a specific level of choice. i have alot of friends who are 20 levels below me, and it would be nice to be able to exp with them withouth me having to get a completely different job and "hope" its close to a job level they need.

yes there was quite a few account banned and about 45 million gils were removed again... But with all that said I have one thing to say... granted RMT is causing prices to go up in the game... But aslong as people are will to pay the price that is being asked for the gil then your going to have gilsellers... that is basic supply and demand economics

Here is the reality of the situation - when you can make around $1,000 dollars for 50m gils. and the game cost you under $200.00 to buy new drive and all the game packs... that leaves lets see $800.00 profit a week if you only sell 50M a week, and if you get banned once a week and have to buy it all weekly... for a net total of $3,200.00 a month which converts to $38,400.00 a year... hell, I sell gil if I could make that every year.... for just playing a game...

if they want to stop it make the mob give you more gil per kill and set a ceiling price on the item you can sell now. make items like rabbit charm,etc. rare/ex so they can not be sold for high gil.... that would elimanate the need for gil sellers... if people could afford to buy thing with what they make then they would no need for RMT

or here is a better money making idea... POL could sell gils themself and lower the monthly cost of the game... that would be benificial to all who really want to play wouldnt it...

but that just my two cents worth....

Doesn't anyone get what SE is doing? They are making RMT's to shut down our accounts AND they made a new "collecters" edition that has all the expansions, right after the RMT's were done...

So, the trick is to destroy a persons account so he can buy it over with the new "collecters" edition, giving SE some more money AND the victims have to start over from level 1,

Oh and i bet not even ONE gilseller was caught in a RMT right? So, while the people whose old accounts were banned, they now are easy targets for gil buyers, making SE get more money.

Greed is the real reason behind all this...

Next they need to remove ALL the RMTs from the game and it will be even more fun.

Oh ya, and make it easier to obtian the abjurations, 24 hour camps with 100+ people in the zone is a dang joke and SE knows it, I bet the gms just sit there and laugh and all the people waiting for the NM to pop :P

in the story line there is part, the crags all around the world are linked to Sky, all are linked to delkfutts tower. so its easy to see y they would offer a teleport service through them now that they are avalible to most all in the game, instead of having ppl run through 4 or 5 zones or use outpost warping to get there.
