As you well know by now, Craig "Grimwell" Dalrymple has taken over as the EverQuest II Community Manager. I was recently given an opportunity to sit down with Craig and get to know him a little better personally. In the interview Craig talks about his past, his mender dwelling present, in addition to his ridiculous infatuation with robotic pirates. Check out a little sample of what was said during the interview...

Tamat - I’ve gathered that your online character is a Paladin. Would I be correct to assume you play a Fae? Tell us about your toon!

Grimwell - My current main is a Fae Paladin. Before creating him I read up on the class forums and saw that some said paladins didn’t hold up as tanks in a big party. I decided that I wanted to know their pain so I could better understand it and rolled up a paladin as my first character in EoF.

To be honest, I’m having quite a ball with the character. I love that I can jump into a group of monsters and hit them with an AoE effect and then start fighting my way through the encounter. I live on the side of risk in games, so I’ve spent plenty of time at the mender, but I really enjoy the abilities a paladin has in the level ranges that I’ve played (I’ve not hit L30 yet). The ability to pull all the attention to my character, heal my friends in a pinch, and do some neat AoE attacks entertains me to no end.

I’m very interested in seeing how that holds up as I approach the later stages of the game where I anticipate some serious action in groups with my guild.
