If you were paying attention to what people are saying then maybe you would see why we are whining. Yes I am whining. Yes I have taken a walk played with my granddaughter and done many other things. You CAN NOT and YES I AM REPEATING This YOU CAN NOT get your character to do anything yes he can walk until it completely crashes so going to another zone does not and i repeat DOES NOT solve the problem. On the weekends is where you mostly find parties so when stuff like this happens it is gonna IRK someone so if I sound like a whiner then I am sorry for you. I got e-mails from playonline telling me they are looking into the problem. So by the way I am NOT a young BRAT or Whiner I am a MIDDLE-AGED BRAT or WHINER!

I've played this game on and off for 2 years. Playing it straight through always bores me, because at certain points, you meet a bunch of dumb people who take games too seriously.

These people ruin the game. They are the type of person that play for 5-12 hours a day, and quit parties because they have an inexperienced player in it. To be honest, all I have to say is quit your whining. You can use this time to go camp an NM, Go start a new craft, do missions if you can enter the right areas, farm for items, fish, mine, chop down trees, train a low level job, Or even wander around pointlessly.

Seriously though, This r0 problem does not stop you from making it THROUGH a zone. The only places you can't make it through are areas that USE DOORS OR ELEVATORS.

My advice:

Get used to it, it'll only be a temporary thing. Stop ******** because you can't keep with your daily level quota. Seriously, if you make a day play for a game, you need to go get a life. This is supposed to be a fun relaxing game, but you all sound like the 6-year-olds that play halo 2 or any other game that people play just because its new. Wow, 3 whole days without FFXI. Damn, in that time, i've:

Gone for a walk or 2
Played my Trombone
Talked to family and friends
Spent alot of time not sitting down
Played fooseball against my older brother
Played the original mario bros with my sister
Played with my dogs
played with my cat
watched TV
Did the Dishes
Went out to eat
Cleaned the Garage
Cleaned my desk off
Studied for school
Gone for another walk
Left the house.


And don't give me that "I'm paying for this game and this is how they treat me!?!?" BS, because that's just what it is. They checked the servers, probably with a ping test (they send a signal and see if it returns) and the servers are working properly for them. Call your ISP's CEO and ask if they did anything to the network. Ask him about the Transpacific cable lines that connect us to them. FFXI has done everything they can do to find the problem by testing their servers. The reason they made this statement is because all you whining brats keep messaging the GM's, who probably don't know anything themselves, and asking them for answers. From what I know, GM's keep track of in game mechanics mostly, and solve those problems. They don't do anything with the networking of the servers from my understanding.

So im sure you have heard my story many times already but here it comes again.....

I missed out on my Promy run and a ZM run cos i cant zone into den of rancor / promivion areas....i missed out on a xp pt and couldnt lvl at all cos i cant zone to valkurm dunes....same again cos i cant go to east altepa.....and couldnt solo cos i cant get through al zhabi....

What do you want me to do with my time SE if i cant play the damn game >< even something as simple as taking an airship is a stress i have to go from Upper Jeuno to Batallia Downs to Rolanberry Fields and then to Sauromugue Champaign because i cant zone into Lower Jeuno......

And the GM's are no help the SE GM's just say call a POL GM and the POL GM's used to say sorry but your are imagining it theres nothing wrong....and recently the POL GM's just send me the same msg back "Sorry we cannot help you further, please call 1-800-PLAY", BITE ME ><

And my ISP has changed NOTHING my last update from them was 5 months ago so y would i only have problems in the last few days and im on 8mbps broadband i mean, i dont even get lag much nvm d/c alot....so that idea from SE is out the window. and as for spying well dammit idc i have nothing to hide scan away but **** sake SE admit you are doing this and make it work right so we can just play the damn game again ><

Most people seem to be getting confused about what SE is trying to fix here...



They mean a delay in response from GMs NOT a delay in server response time. If you look at what caused the problem with the GM Petition Service...



Then that's probably the same reason why everyone else seems to be having trouble.

They are right. I have no problem connecting to Final Fantasy XI. Although once I get there I do experience abnormal drops in data received from the server. These drops only come in highly "populated" areas. I say we should just be patient. Some people are still trying to download the update as well which could also be affecting server response time.

What I really wish SE would do is create separate English/European and Japanese Servers. That would cost more money but would help cut down on a lot of the lag issues players experience not to mention the whole communication barrier. And the fact that nearly every time I look for parties all the JP have auto trans comments basically stating they don't want to PT with English speaking people, so just put us on our own server already.

I havent even been able to log on for the past 3 days. I contacted a GM from POL and was also through a msg because they wouldnt event talk to me, that there was no problem, I have restarted my modem, restarted my pc, disconnected from router, checked all files and nothing seems to help. Now my bf is having problems. He was about to go to the jungle to solo is blu and as soon as he zoned into Khazam he kept dc'g and nothing would zone in. He couldnt get to another zone before he dc'd because he is stuck on the ship dock and the npc's dont zone in before he dc's so hes stuck and now its not even letting him log on.
And someone in my ls cant zone into west altep because everytime he does he dc's there. I cant believe SE is saying there are no problems when clearly something with the update isnt working properly because you dont suddenly have this many people all having the exact same problem at the same time. People are now paying for a service that they cant even use.

I've already reported a problem twice, and get the same response back from them: "There's nothing wrong, you're imagining it!"

The issue: I zone into Yuhtunga Jungle and immediately my R goes down to 0. 3 days now, unable to lvl SAM because no one wants to go kill Weapons instead of Mandies, not that I can blame them, and 2 missed Temple of Uggalepih mission runs because I CAN'T GET INTO THE BLOODY ZONE!
