Damage bonus is based on level, not weapon. That number would be the same for any peircer on the person who took the shot, even a rusty dagger. Sounds to me like this will be a bane against the new vampyres in Luclin (with which I had a nasty run-in in the Tenebrous mountains..ick)

im pretty sure the inquisition is in sanctus seru.. i'm gunna go kill a couple hundred bandits in marus so I wont be kos there just in case.. and go explore the zone. I think theres stuff that jumps you in SS like the vampyres in katta. |

Thanks for the update hee hee I kept killing yelloweyes and the bandit next to it.. and all the others in the camp but i didnt kill the one by himself on the ledge. I came back and 9 spawns later I got Maricella 3x.. 3rd time she dropped dagger. BTW you get faction hits when you kill her:

Got one off of Mooto in Misty Thicket. Merchant in the Rogue Guild in Rivervale offered me 24pp (and I don't have to carry it around trying to /auction). Will have to go back and see how much it sells for!!

This is not a quest item. It's a drop in a 53+ zone from a mob that hits around 100. Risk vs Reward = Joke. It also looks exactly like a 20/30 spear that drops here, so when you loot you get a little surprise when it's the junk one.

But perhaps BANE means against a different type of classification of creature... maybe they only use the word bane for race/classes/groups of NPCS.

Hehe, same here. I had a 15 ranger on Firiona Vie, and i was constantly asked for sows. No one seemed to care that I had ringmail and a Short sword of morin (yak like look) with a chitin shell shield. (17 now with dual wield and no questions, whew)

Nope.
Magic Damage means that if the critter fails its resist Vs. magic check, it becomes a 23damage / 45 delay weapon - for that one hit - and the critter gets a chance to save Vs magic on each hit.
Bane means:
if you have a 10dam/30 delay +2 Bane:undead weapon, the weapon will be 10/30 f |
