| been a while since i have played everquest but about 5 or so months ago my necro went to erudin to gain the faction for paineel got to second highest or highest faction i forget and if you actually go into town you can hunt the guards they are no faction and loot 10pp worth of bronze every kill easy | ||||

| I had the same thought...I've been told that yes, you land safely, but I haven't been able to try it. Apparently it's one way to get down to Master Yael (sp?) quickly. | Azzar is a Shadow Knight. He wears plate and is on the Heretics faction. He's quite common and guards the entrance to the newbie grounds and is usually up in the observatory above the gate unless trained out. | Well, I finally got around to trying it. Yes, it does work! My test character was a level 1 erudite cleric. I jumped, cast divine aura as soon as I zoned, and landed safely. Unfortunately without infravision or ultravision I couldn't see much down there. I left a corpse by a locked door instead | ||||
