| I got the download after about 4 hours of trying. Log in and find out that my screen is full of black boxes. Cant see buffs (black boxes), can't see trees (big black boxes). Installed DX8.1, reinstalled video driver...still black boxes... Anyone have any ideas?? Rararaz Papapaz 41 Iksar | ||||

| yes....at first it was like 15 hours for me. and like the lvl 44 bard, i uninstalled and reinstalled, was getting the everquest kills everquest.exe msg too. but, as others have stated, the patcher servers cant handle the influx of people....i logged in at 745 b4 i went to work and it was dl'ing like | ||||

| If you get the message "no cards found" try going online and getting direct x 8.1. My friend did that and now he can play. But what do you do if you can't get past the patch server? It says something like XML glitch or something does anyone know how to get past this? | ||||

| This happened to me too. the file name is actually OLEAUT32.dll. Fortunately my wifes machine had a new copy, so I copied her file to a folder on my machine. Then I hit, Start&gt;Shutdown&gt;Restart in DOS mode. Then copy the new file to the windows\system directory. i.e. C:\&gt; co | ||||

| Download Pepper's Patches into the "skins" option and then go back and try to enter the game. It took only about 1.5 hrs to get all that info downloaded into my EQ file and another 5mins to let the kitty and chick do the file check and I was on.....however still having probs with blackout | ||||
