I am just curious about strategies on dueling. Since i am in a Role Playing guild we tend to duel each other quite often and i seem to lose quite often i am hoping some lvl 40's or 50's could inform me on some methods of winning (mainly against Necros, shadowknights, and other evil classes).

This is a good stratagy untill you hit around lvl 20+. I am now at lvl 22 and MOBS are resisting my snare and/or root allot!! This can make even fighting a blue con difficult with our substandard defense abilities. I have all my magical abilities maxed at 115, archery in the 80s or 90s (not sure |

I don't even think it's usful after 25. As you pointed out the damage is low and the stun is weak if it even procs. There seems to be many better weapons availble at 25+. I think the proc should work sooner, then this weapon whould have a place as a low lvl starter weapon. Just my humble opinion |

Just a quick request for advice....
Does anyone have a a tried and true system for grouping? (I.E: Casting in proper intervals to avoid ending up on the top of the MOBs agro list)
And and other good grouping advice would be appreciated.
Thanks :)

This may be true. However the other wrinkle you need to add is gender.
I play a female troll shadowknight - never seen another.
Come to think of it, never seen a female ogre shadowknight or female erudite shadowknight..... |

I agree High elf makes a great mage. They already have a good Charisma and counter to popular belief, I think you should put your extra 5 points in agility. It amazes me at how little I get hit while playing tank when my pets health gets low.

One other hint. When your dueling a straight caster the best possible defence is to interupt there casting. Most of rangers 1hs weapons don't hit hard enough to stop a spell cast. So always keep a heavy hitting 2hs or bash weapon arond to use when dueling. Remember you have to keep that skill up |

Gigantic Zweihander is 2HS not 1HS and is 18DMG not 19Dmg and 39Dly not 29Dly. If you want to go 2Handed go with Axe of the Ironback. Good weapon for a while. I used it till I got dual wield then went with PGT and Silvery War Axe. Im currently working on Getting SSOM to replace war axe. I will keep |

Your bastard sword (tarnished?) is prolly fine for a lvl 12. Other cheap weapons that you can find around Gfay are of course the Dwarven Axe and the Minotaur Axe. Both are nonmagical and on Bertoxxolous go for about 15pp. If you are hunting in cb save up some cb belts and sell them to some uber l |

I think the above post is dead on, one important note though: You have to put at least one point into a skill for it to advance. So stick one point into tracking as soon as you attain the appropriate level, then use it as the above post mentioned. That initial point is what activates it, however. |

There is no best type, thats like saying wich class is best (you know what i mean) after you get higher lvls this is how the pet's classes evolves into to:
Fire = wizard
Air = monk
Water = rogue (with backstab in higher lvls)
Earth = warrior
It all depends on the situation, like if your dow |

I'd hunt bears and willowisps in West Commonlands. A HQ bear pelt can be sold in E. Commonlands for 30-35pp and wisps drop greater lightstones worth 8 or 9pp when you turn them in. At level 13 you can loot tons of lightstones, and the experience is nice, too. I like water and earth pets. Your pets s |

I am a 10 lvl mage. I have found my fire pet very useful. Not only does he deal the most damage but i can use area effect fire spells without hurting him.It's also easy to renew him when necessary. |
