I think you are forgetting about the dodge-masters: halflings. My halfling is a kickass tank because of his agility and dexterity being so naturally high. He also has high natural AC. I think it's 560 naked at level 40 or something like that. Halflings are proably 2nd best race, behind trolls.

For real, crafted is THE choise for non-uber warrior armor around your level. The ac is better than fine plate, and almost every piece modifies very useful stats (str on gloves, agility on boots, dex on bracer).
However, I feel that Ry'gorr legs and vambraces may be better, and Skull Shaped Barb |

I'd save your practices for skills that are expensive to start up. For instance, a bunch of practices dumped into Jewel Craft can mean quite a difference in money saved.

I would start as High Elf. Put your extra attribute points into Int, Wis, and a little in Strength. Yes I realize that HIE already have a good base Int and Wis. Putting more in will give you skills even faster which means less fizzle, less spell interruption and that means less deaths. I'd hunt outs |

Go High Elf, they have the best overall stats to start a Wizard with. Highest base Wisdom and Charisma...intelligence is only a little behind Erudite. Felwithe also has virtually any spell you could want. |

Kadthar here,
I'm based on the other side of Antonica (near Qeynos) so it was a while before I got my level 16 and 20 pets other than the ones that are generally available at the guild. I did manage to cross the continent and ride the boat out to the Ocean of Tears to buy all the spells when I w |

Kadthar here,
This will be a long post. I'm going to describe exactly how I went through getting the pet spells for Levels 16 and 20. This comes from the perspective of an Erudite magician or a human magician starting out of Qeynos, so if you're a high elf, dark elf, or gnome, or a human out of |

Your post contradicts itself in some places. If your starting Intelligence doesn't matter because it will eventually be 200 (and there is a cap at 200, no higher INT is available as your post seems to imply), then clearly your starting zone shouldn't matter either as you will eventually be elsewher |

Yo all you Magi out there,It's Zomor the friendly dwarf from the paladin forum. Well, i just got my first Magician to level 8. I would Say the best Soloers are in this order from 1-5.
1. Necros-Can Solo from 1-50 without any trouble.
2. Druids-Can solo from 14-50 with no problems.
3. Magicians-Can solo from 4-30 and then given levels in between.
4. Monks-Can Solo once they get up to about level 12.
5. Paladins-Best mel |

The Wisps and Steam Elementals I've encountered can apparently only be killed with magic or magic weapons. As a level 14 Ranger I've got limited magic and no magic weapon. Any suggestions on how to get a magic weapon? Any other attack ideas? |

I believe you can use combine weapons to hit them and the cost is around 20-30 plats. I'm not positive on this though. I personally missed out on wisps as I did not get my first magical weapon till lvl 20 at which time I got a PGT & Dragoon Dirk. You can check eqprices.com and find decent magical |

For the method you are using Earth and Water are the best choices. Earth because it's root makes medding safer, Water because it has better regen and it's spell does damage. Fire and Air just don't have the HPs at this level for this sort of soloing.

fletching is a usufual trade skill not necesarily to make money out of but to save you some. I have spent a fortune on arrows as i need them for pulling and regret that i didnt start fletching earlier.
