I'm a mere 17 ranger but i think you might want to consider using 1 hand slashing weapons. We get duel wield and double attack so we get the oppurtunity to have 4 attacks in one round. That is alot of damage and can prevent you from being hit if that much damage is all you need to kill your oppone |

This sounds good, but my swiftblade double attacks very often for 35-50+ so thats 70-100 damage in a round. I see rangers my level with one hand slash who dont do as much with their four attacks. Also, you dont always get the four attacks. My plan right now i think is to keep 1 hand slashing up, its |

Incorrect there are many parts of the Mage epic that are better started in the low 30's so you can get exp while doing the camps.

uhm.. at low lvls under lvl 16 or so. you will always tank better than your pet (unless the mob your fighting has poison).
after lvl 16. it gets rather hard. even if you are twinked. so you destroied items that would have 1) gotton you a group faster. and 2) kept you alive longer.

I'm lvl 26 and at present hunting in the Lake of Ill Omen. If we can't find a good warrior in my groups, I usually end up tanking and pulling. Will I be able to do that in the future? I really enjoy both.

It acts as a simple locator spell. It doesn't last long, but as long as you have a target selected, in range, and enough mana, the flare will fly off to hover next to your target. This is great for when you are leading a raid and your group doesnt know what to attack (i.e.: Attack the Orc Pawn!... |

Top Ten Ranger Rules
1) Rangers are NOT tanks.
2) Leave Tanking to the warriors, pallies or shadow knight.
3) Rangers, like monks and rouges are melee damage dealers.
4) Destroy your taunt button it will only get you into trouble.
5) Attack a mob a few seconds after the main tanks engage.

Heh. Good for you. How else should a Ranger duel a Warrior? Using Warrior tactics?? No, using Ranger tactics. Is it cheap for a Wizard to use nukes too? For anyone to complain about someone using their natural talents to kick another person's butt in a duel is just silly. |

Don't let them fool you. Barbarian warriors are very cool. We are not as ugly as Trolls or Ogres and not as small as Halflings or Gnomes. If you play your character right, you will go a ong way.
