HE probably had the Staff of the Gathering. Same graphic and was given out to the winners of something-or-other at that convention they had. It was supposed to be a unique look though, this is most likely a bug which will be replaced with another graphic soon. |

Considering it is off-hand slot only, I'd say most casters of planes level wouldn't really need it. I have the Drachnid thxyl in the off-hand, +5 Int, +40 mana, +10 Sv. magic, 5ac. Better stats and heck of a lot easier to get than this item.

Hey thanks Adder...better late than never I guess...I too was 'welcomed' by that lovely group up north. And they're aggro is HUGE!! I was totally unable to recover my body..many thanks to an uber-shaman again for that..

It is the book from the advicor in sarnak fortress in Lake of Ill Omen. It has the effect of cancel magic, but when it procs it procs on you, it weigh a lot and is generally crappy, cant sell to merchants or anything. |

No. The best u can hope to sell them for is around 110pp...tops. I bought a pair for 50pp each, but sold them each for 110pp (hehe) when I went to Velious and got a pair of Cougar Claw Earrings. |

I agree this is a good neck item. 5AC is not shabby and it adds 3 to 3 different stats. Great for warriors, it should come cheap as it is the booby prize for those who are camping for Ry'Gorr Armor. |
