Actually, no. It doesn't cost a bundle to make. It's just that the Ice Silk is really rare. Rare only because it drops off level 60 critters in only one zone.
It takes 4 Ice Burrower Silks to make the 2 Swatches you need to make this cap. The cap isn't trivial to make at 250 either.

i'm 24 rogue, although this weapon is slow compared to many piercers it's nice to hit the big backstabs at lower levels
for instance i'm 24 halfling rogue 103 str 125 skill, i bs for about 90 - 100 max with this
was in frontier mountains with a guild group ( i was lowest) casters getting resis |

This combo KICKS ASS!!! I dual one of these and a WS in my primary and i kick some major ass-orama. No proc yet but its still an absolutely SICK combo. I love both my WS and my axe and would prolly only get rid of em for lammys.

I have an axe from a friend that reads (exactly) "Velium Battle Axe", but the stats are magic, lore, 2hs, 30dmg, 40dly, war pal rng shd/all, weight 6.3. What is with the axe? It is entitled Velium Battle Axe, but the stats don't match. Any ideas? What would it be worth given the dmg/dly ration? |

Your thinking of the ogre meat cleaver quest... Its like a 33 5 1hs or something like that. The only other quest in Oggok I can think of that results in a weapon is the gatorsmash maul and thats 30 70... Neither is in comparison to this. |

Was PLing my mnk with my druid, killing goblins and Grachnist The Destroyer spawned. Killed my mnk and get killed by my druid. Got a skull, the tolem of warrior spirit and iksar hide glove. Guess the loots are worth the death of my mnk. |

Necro's are one of the caster classes where extra HP's are desirable. More hitpoints means you can stay in Lich form long, the longer you stay in lich form the more mana you get. When you combine that with the saves, these are real good boots. |

Is this armor better than Ivy Etched armor, I am trying to save up my money for Ry'Gorr battle mail, but damn that costs alot. I am trying to get the highest ac possible as a ranger, so I think i'll stick with Ry gorr battle mail for the chest, and the rest Ivy etched, sound good??

For those who think these are too heavy for monks:
The raw ac makes up for the weight difference between these and, lets say, shiverback boots.
Being 2wt over the limit is about 14-16ac (over 50). These booties have 13 more RAW AC than shiverback. Adjusted AC, shiver gives you about 9ac and 9agi |
