Believe the Crusaders have a chance to drop ANY piece of decaying armor.
And you can do this quest (Or turn in the items) at any level. Unlike say Tolans or SS which you can wear, but need to be a certain level to activate the effects. |

Go jump in a lake. -grin- The fact that these are the only SS piece which (a) have a permanent effect and (b) therefore work on any bard lvl 1 and above makes them very, very nice. And the fact that they are available on many servers for under 1k, (I bought mine for 600), only sweetens the deal. |

There are essentially two advantages to having the helm, despite already also having the spell. First, as you conjectured, it's manaless. Second, it frees up another spell slot, which is never a bad thing. |

Whoa, all Epics have 40% haste? Sweet! I didn't know that when my Druid Epic casted Wrath of Nature that I was not only dealing 1600 damage and slowing its walk speed down (21% or something in that are), I was also giving it haste! WOOT!

These are nice little gloves for Druids or any wisdom casters for that matter. I am certain they are fairly common as I see quite a few people with them on Fennin Ro. This price is probably pretty accurate. I paid 25pp for them when I bought them. |

Basically, the answer is simple: they count as leather armor. Int casters can't wear leather armor.
