im a pc dumb ass too, I noticed the unzipped files from pepper came up as an icon on desktop, click and drag it over your original eq icon and it shouild work =) |

Pepper your the man.. downloaded your zip file put in eq file loaded no problem made clear into eq saw the new world.. even zoned a few times before i crashed... only problem i have now .. it seems they've wiped 2 out of 3 pass words for my accounts.. gahhh more problems. |

Try installing Direct X 8.1 - it worked for my bro, but I still get no device found. I have a Hercules Prophet 4500, he has a GeForce 2. Its worth a try, and here's the link to Microsoft:

Well in my part it took about 20 trys to even start to download the patch. When i started though i wizzed through it. it took like less than an hour or so and i have a 56K. I don't understand how people can have a 35hour+ dl??? |

well i have dial up...and so far it has taken about an hour i had to restart a few times but i have aout 13 minutes left myself... unless it freezes again..maybe its the time of day being 3 47 here |
