What video card do you have and how many megs does it have ? I think that's the problem with the black boxes. You MUST have 16 megs video card or else you will get that problem.

Logged on this morning. There were 6 people in EC on Brell server. For me anyway, once I got by the patch problems things have run fine.....I hope it stays that way. |

That's it exactly and from what I saw in the tech support rooms it is an issue relating to the Intel 82810 display adapter that HP puts in it's machine...and there were a LOT of people filling the chat rooms that had this problem.

At the risk of repeating what others have said, if you have DirectX 8.1 installed and are still getting the "No 3D devices found" error msg updating the driver for you video card might solve the problem.
You can verify which version of DirectX is currently installed by selecting Start / |

You probably have directX 8.0a. IM having the same problem, you need to dload directx 8.1 from microsoft AND upgrade your video and audio drivers even if you have the latest and greatest. |
