For one, you get two 14/24 weaps, which is nice, but doesn't really sound all that 'epic'. However... keep in mind that warriors take hits and dont do that much damage, when you dual wield two 24 delay weaps you get alot of agro.
2) They look SWEET. kinda like lightsabers from starwars almost.

Hi there, I beleive the ruined gnoll chain only drops off burly and guardsman gnolls, if you are too low a level to tackle these then I suggest you try and buy these pieces, I got some for a young ranger alt on a new server paying 5gp each.

pending the type of guild that is doing this, i would only see this really going to clerics, and or wizards.. heres the reason why.
Cleric: more mana on clerics means that the MT lives longer, and this it means you have more time for your rogues and monks to do the damage to the mob
