Well, im not sure what VI is trying with this, u cant loot and give to another char, cause o the NO DROP. Now, maybe (heh, i think i had a bit too many Fruit Loops this morning) there is some peanlty for SOMEHOW getting this item on a char under lvl 50. Hmmmm, anyone tried to loot it under lvl 50? |

Yes, it looks like bards and clerics are getting screwed in the armor from Umbral Plains. WAR, RNG, SHD, PAL get Moktor armor (this is the one that bards should be in), BRD, ROG get Dark Assassin, Int casters get Dream Weaver. No Drop can't twink with it anyways. Seen this on all No Drop Items posted so far. So it does seem to be a level range to aquire the Item not a means of stopping twinking. |

For the simple reason that this quest was designed to start at level 1 and continue indefinitely; This is a useless item at level 17 granted. But most people will be getting it at level 2 or 3, unless they put off starting the quest until level 10 or more.

Bard is a plate class. Dark Assassin armour has chain class ac which means that most bards will have their eye set on something better. This piece has exact same ac as Singing Steel Vambraces btw.

Maybe the breastplate cannot be looted unless you are lvl 50+. This would stop guild twinking, like bringing a lvl 1 to ToV and let him loot dragon drops. |
