	Maybe they put it in the game to give that mob the stat he needed to make it a challenge to kill him. The mob has to be able to dish out the damage a bit to make it interesting you know. So, I think this sword is just a way for the mobs to stay alive for a bit.

	The 15/40 stats may not be that great, but if you're fighting Gnolls, this weapon is 25/40 1HS! Yes, it may be rather slow (although in comparison, the Ghoulbane is 15/34), but 25 damage on a 1HS weapon is only bettered by very high-end weapons. On top of that, the +25 disease resist is very nice.
