Very tough to get I'm afraid, considering you have to be flagged for the elemental planes, and most players are not likely to ever get there--possibly including myself.
The gate requires a component, unless I'm mistaken. Some alchemy-made stackable item, 110pp or so each. |

Damage bonus is applied after that. It works basically as the minimum damage that your weapon will do if it actually hits. |

The elemental molds that are used in making armor such as this drops in tier 4 planes, like the Plane of Fire/Earth/Air/Water. To get there, you need to kill Rallos Zek, Solusek Ro, Mithaniel Marr, Saryn, etc.... There is no way you would be less than 65 by the time you reach a tier 4 zone, unless y |

Actually the way a damage bonus works is a bit different. The damage bonus is added at the very end, after all other calculations have been made. Also, the damage bonus applies only to melee/hybrids at level 51 and higher, and only on the mainhand weapon. Offhand weapons are not given the damage |

Actually, the dmg bonus takes effect at lvl 30, not 51, but it's not that significant til 51 |

The effect is actually quite useful for all the classes listed. It's much faster to buff a raid if it takes you 25% less time to cast each spell. Chloroblast also has a 3 second cast time. That would bring it down to a ~2.25 second spell. The utility to a 2 1/4 second heal spell is pretty obviou |

Well I am 56 Ranger, and when I look at this its the AC and wisdom thats impressive.(most inportant to a Ranger class) I have my Epic so the dex comes into play. the hp,s makes up for the sta and never complain about the resists.all and all I would definantley save and buy this gear.. |

It's not my impression that the amount of damage done by a bow determines the amount of agro gained. Just look at the EQ/AM3 rangers with TS disc on, doing amazing DPS and still get no agro at all.
So basically, imo, the tank will only benefit from bows with nice stats and agro giving procs. |

It dawns on me that as I work my way towards this item the recent trivial nerfs are making it extremely difficult to skill-up to the required skill level to successfully complete this quest.
For example in smithing, the trivials have dropped so much that it is truly almost (almost mind you) as diff |

I agree Ulvian these are good legs, wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the set though. And so everyone is clear about this this is a very pain in the arse quest only due to finding the items needed for the armor, the plains are still new to most of us and it will be a while be4 everything is found inc |

As one of the int casters who doesn't care I'm really happy to loot these - they sell to a vendor for 120pp with decent charisma!
All the barkleather stuff is pretty mediocre as armour but even the cheapest pieces (bracers) bring 40+pp. I just treat it as cash loot. |
