| They make good Warriors as tank and DD, but assuming that every player on the game are all on the same skillplaying level, Galka would definitely outmatch Elvaan as tank, possibly even at DDing since Elvaan has statistically, the worst DEX/acc. out of the 5 races. | My experience as an Elvaan, as a Warrior, and watching other Warriors. WAR's CAN act as tank's from 10-30, although a PLD or NIN would be more preferable. At higher lvls WAR's are more like kiters, backup tanks, but primarily DD. Elvaan might be better for the stat mods on Weapon Skills and general | ||||

| i've said it before, and i'll say it again. the only things that matter enough to matter from race-to-race are HP and MP. of these two, neither is really significant for a WAR in most cases. so play any race. | ||||

| Elvaan find a good niche endgame in any of the melee classes. WAR, MNK, DRK, DRG, or SAM. take your pick. just don't do something stupid like WAR/SAM or DRG/DRK. personally, if WAR is going to be your first main, i'd sub THF for Elvaan up 'til 50. if you're changing to an "Advanced" Jo | ||||

| it's one of the worst subs for xp, usually. it doesn't really add as much to your DD capabilities as WAR/THF, it doesn't tank as well as WAR/MNK or WAR/NIN, and after 55 you'll want to Dual Wield Axes. but that's not the point of this thread. | ||||

| Yeah war/sam isn't a good combo for xp parties, however it can come in handy in other situations. Such as, I often use war/sam in skillup parties when skilling up my Great Axe or other two-handed weapons (staff, polearm, etc.) I'm war71 now, and I always use NIN sub in xp parties. | My Elvaan has never had any trouble playing as WAR. Yes we do have reletively low DEX/Acc...so wear a Life Belt when you can, lol. That was always enough for me. | A new Elvaan WAR should use MNK for a subjob. WAR/MNK is a great combination till Level 30 and good till 37 at least. MNK is also the best sub for THF till Level 30.
