I am a level 40 Monk and would not consider down grading to this weapon. At level 40 with 112 str this weapon will do a mediocre 38.87dmg/sec while 2 CoT will do 40.82dmg/sec. - why have dual weild of 252 if you don't use it? For the price, get 2 KD and keep the change and hit for 43.52dmg/sec. Or y |

This does indeed drop from Lord Soptyver, a named Evil Eye deep in Beholder. It has been awhile, but I believe the spawn rate on him is about a week, which makes this quest difficult to do. The item is a great face piece for Cazic Thule Erudite clerics though. Good luck. |

I've camped the area in Beholder where the named evil eyes spawn. Lord Soptyvr has spawned frequently. I'd guess the spawn cycle to be as short as 8 hours and as long as 24 hours. For what it's worth, I was able to solo him with my 32 Paladin.

spawns as many times a day you want him to spawn actually..its not fully times based..what you have to do to get him to spawn is spawn both named on either side..once both named are up on either side he will pop in a short time thereafter so long as they are not disturbed..i have done this numerous |
