Big Questions..Follow

Ok, I may get flamed for this, but I really do not care.

Anyway here I go:

I was wondering do people still play SwG? If so, have you played before the JTLS? I was wondering what everyone means by "big-nerf" and is it true you cannot use Teras Kasi anymore? If I played before JTLS when it was in-fact good, should I come back? Is it worth it?

Thank you for your time.

Yes, people still play.

No I didn't play before the 'big-nerf'.

The Big Nerf is the term used for the New Game Enhancements (NGE). Where they revamped the entire system to be simplified. (Personal Note: Yes, currently the game is really easy to play. This can be good or bad depending on personal levels.)

Yes, sadly, it's true. Teras Kasi is indeed gone..

Again, it just depends on your playing style. Currently, developers are working overtime on the current Chapter to raise AI difficulty (so far it's looking good just need some tweaks.) It's only worth if you enjoy it yourself

Hmm, working on AI - don't get me wrong, but all the players who have reached lvl90 and are capped out - why should they care for a modified AI? There is really nothing to be gained at the moment.

My take is that we would need some high-end content (I would not mind paying for another add-on) that keeps us busy for another couple of months - so far I cannot see anything coming from that direction.

But since the rumors about SWG2 do not cease, there is still hope...

I hate to hijack this thread...but...

I agree with you that there is not a whole lot of content for high end players. However, about two months ago SOE had a poll in where they wanted to hear what the players wanted them to work on the most from chapter to chapter. It was PvE that won the vote.

So, what is being currently implemented is Beastmaster, Raising AI difficulty (This was meant for CL90 players for Dunqeon instances), New Schematics, Returning some of the old drops, and something else that I can't remember the top of my head. Oh! Storyteller, Azure Cabal quest line, and the Rebel Themepark is revamped.

More over. Modified AI is what the High End player really wanted.

Yeah I know that the there is another Star Wars MMO rumor going about. Oh well.

err,, the tactics are all in the expertise system, you do get a very good pistol if you make master underworld, i dont recall armor outside of restuss, and we have no tera kasi moves as specials, but your friend might be equipped with blaster fist? an unarmored smuggler is wet paper, but yea they do well against jedi 1vs1 when they're armored

Well, I am not surprised but I cannot believe that players are looking for a revamped AI - are they willing to troll the same dungeons over and over, looking for nothing but stupid repetition, repetition, repetition... you get the drift, I guess.

I favor PvE as well, hate PvP (too many technical obstacles preventing players from having even matches even though mass battles sound rather interesting every now and then) but I want to see new content, e.g. new bosses, new quests and new locations.
I am certainly not strolling the same old dungeons just to find the AI slightly modified or adjusted so it is harder for me to fight well-known battles time and time again.

whats the point of adding content though if you can just walk through it without any challenge?

MoW - true, but adding new content means to me that I will get some more challenging opposition, e.g. high-level opponents and weaponry.
I am just not interested in getting updated AI for battles that I already know - why would I want to play it? I can make old stuff more challenging by myself - play without buffs, playing with one eye blind, play with both eyes blind.

No need for the devs to work on old stuff, I want new (challenging!) one.

even with that it would be too easy =0

still, one thing at a time, and as long as the new ai stuff doesnt turn out like when the "upgraded" the ai the august before the NGE came out, it should work good.

new content should be in the next chapter, heroic mobs or something, worse case scenario, quit until that comes out, take a break and then when it comes out, you might enjoy it more.

i wish they had more poeple, so we could both get content and difficulty change, but i dont thingk its possible wiht the people they have

there does need to be more content, and the pve element needs to be more challenging, if the game is too easy, then there is no sense of accomplishment, there are so many worlds in the game that still, are not being used to their fullest, even tatooine, is just a blande backdrop, it used to be fairly perilous once you ventured out into the deserts, squills were formiddable opponents, and in packs they could be a major threat, tatooine now, feels more like a school playground, its too sanitised. too safe.

yo SWG2... him they need more content... and soem other tweaks... definelty end game stuff for the "old guys" (or gals =P) im new but it still seems the game could use more... everything is the same just a little drifferent. i hope htey just make an SWG2 and not make any huge "enhancments" i really hope they just make a newer better one. they need soem other planets too... a version of coursant would be intense... liek have that be an SWG2 expansion... also a couple more profession deals... they could really make a good game if they built off this (not that SWG isnt great jsut it could be better) still love it tho.

Yeah now that I think about it. It is a little strange but I could care less. I don't PvP or even PvE. I'm an Entertainer and my alternate is a Domestic Trader. So, as long as I can get customers for me to buff them up for their next win/death or my next batch of clothes sell. I realy don't care for the outside world.
