I used to play EQ and miss that old addiction. I was never very serious about the game but still loved it. Anyway I don't want to buy a new computer, and the last expansion I have is Yekeshia, lmao. I read around here for a bit and I already have the PS2 with a modem in it, went ahead and ordered this game. There is another one out called EverQuest Online Adventures; Froneiers? But I just got the old one to start out.
Now my favorite part character selection.
Is there anything I should know before I even get started?
I always liked the fighter types, being in the fight but not nessicarily the main tank. My favorite old cha. Was a human paladin, but as far as I can see the armor on this game is ugly! I'm really kinda leaning towards rogue, they used to have the coolest skills. Which race is the best rogue? Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Ahh. you wasted your money by not getting frontiers. Without it you not only miss out on content but your toons are seriously handicapped without the class masteries.
And the chain armor is more ugly then the the plate armor :/

Kool! So many ppl ee comin back! If only it was more in the thousands... Butyeah u totally neeeeeed Frontiers... U can get a were form n cms n graphics and u can go to alot more places!

If I had to give my most educated guess on which race would be the best rogue it would be a Gnome..... Totally!

But ummm after a Gnome Id say .... Ummmm udk.... Gnomes make the best rogues n Im stickin to it even if Halasbear doesnt agree :D

Thanx for the advice, I'll surely get the expansion. Lol since I really neeeeed it. ;) And since I haven't signed up yet I'll definately use your server, if that is the more poplulated one.
As to ugly armor I must have been looking at old screenshots? because the ones on SOE looked pretty cool.

Well you can't sign up for any one server, unless your playing with a european copy of the game whose server I think was shut down.
But Castle Light Wolf is the only one populated to the point that pick up groups are feasible, theres still people who play their original ones, I jump on one of my original toons sometimes.

I was having problems with posts, so I replied to yours there. You may find it very helpful of not. I have much more advice for you aswell. Just read thru what I wrote and we will go from there.
And I once again agree with the others. CLW is the most populated server. I play on FerransHope, that server is a more Raid only server. We rarely get new meat. and if we do. Not many stay. We help a lot. Just...we can't always help. and they get bored being whatever level and having noone to group with. So they merge to the clw server. Most times, when you first get on, you have a group. It's nice...I miss those days. It's just I can't start over on a new server. I put to much time into the one I am on now. I can honestly say, I stuck with my server through thick and thin.
