A new content patch has just landed for Uncharted Waters Online - the Tierra American patch. With it comes a whole slew of new content and optimizations. The new pack adds the West Indian Company, as well as company improvements, free ships for Graduates, Oxford University Lectures, new pets, an expanded auto-sail distance, and two-on-two duel modes.

CJ E&M has released a new shipbuilding system in Uncharted Waters Online that will allow players to upgrade and customize their vessel. Here are some details from a press release:
"Players can choose the materials for the hull, sails and gunport to build their own unique ships. How you combine the materials and equipment will decide how durable and capable your ships are and contribute to success or failure for the expedition. Not only are players offered more options, as they become familiar with their ship they can attain ‘Steering Proficiency,’ which gives players more control while sailing and additional shipbuilding options. With all upgrades and customization, ships will attain higher resistance to the rough weather. If a player receives a ‘Wave resistance’ higher than 11, their ship will have the power to pass through a storm or blizzard, flying past opponents to victory!"
Uncharted Waters Online was recently added to the gPotato portal to bring more North American and European players into the historic nautical MMO.
The Ottoman Empire has joined the six existing nations in Uncharted Waters Online with the launch of the latest update. Players now have the option to stick with their original nation and fight against the Ottoman military or defect to this powerful new empire.
The update also introduces a new quest, a new ship, new cultures and the ability to own a deserted island as your private production base.
Uncharted Waters Online was added to gPotato's free-to-play gaming portal a couple months ago, giving North American and European players a more reliable connection to the historic nautical MMO.
CJ E&M announced today that it has partnered with Gala-Net to host Uncharted Waters Online on gPotato's free-to-play gaming portal. This move should bring more North American and European players to the historic nautical MMO, as well as give them a reliable server connection.
In order to help new gPotato players reach the level cap, users under level 80 can enjoy a 200% exp bonus through July 20. Players who reach level 80 with new characters during that window will also be entered to win an iPad 2! It certainly seems like a good time to explore the 15th century in Uncharted Waters Online.
