Pendragon Downtime Tomorrow

Note from the Herald:
We are bringing Pendragon down tomorrow at 2:00pm EST so that it can be updated to 1.93. We expect Pendragon to be back up at approximately 6:00pm EST.

Welcome to 1.92

Patch 1.92 is now up on the live servers, check out the notes below:
NEW THINGS AND BUG FIXES

 - Items and armor that are awarded by the low level recruit quests may now be sold for small amounts of copper.

 - Master Lucyn will no longer talk to players about the Getting up to Speed quest if they are not participating in the quest.

 - (Hibernia) Hondrund will now drop loot that is more appropriate for a cat-like creature.

 - The field spiders in Cathal Valley will no longer drop Midgard-specific items to players from Hibernia or Albion.

 - The channeler in Svarhamr will no longer repeat words when displaying options to teleport players to housing.

 - The Bard group-health regeneration songs now display the correct group widget on the icon.

 - The /use ability on the Runed Bone Staff can now be properly discharged.

 - The Dragonsworm helm for the Mission: Infiltration quests can now only be used while the player is in Camelot Hills, Lough Derg, or the Vale of Mularn.

 - The character selection screen has been revamped to make the button layout and look more user-friendly.

 - The commands list in the in-game /help file has been updated. This corrects an error where some unused guild commands were still listed.

Hot Fix

Live fix-it note:
- The Dragon Scholars and Storytellers were a bit flustered by the recent holiday events, and were only offering the Valentines Day quests to some players. They will now correctly offer their quests relating to the Dragon’s Revenge to all characters. Players may need to accept (but not complete) older quests from an NPC in order to be able to accept newer ones.

Downtime Wednesday

Don't take Wed. off to play, downtime:
All servers will be coming down on Wednesday, February 27th at 6:00am EST for version 1.92. We expect the servers to be back up by 6:00pm EST. As always, please keep an eye on the Herald for updates!

The Icy Grab Bag

It's Q&A time over on the Camelot Herald, read on to find the "A's" to this weeks "Q's":
Q. I have an LGM Spellcrafter and I have been trying to figure out the Mystic Essence gems, which are for power. I know my power pool cap is very high yet I never see a change in my power pool when I imbue a Mystic Essence to a piece of equipment. Can you please explain how these affect the power pool when there is no visible change?

A. I ran to the Balancinator for this one: It increases your total power by the amount listed, but not by a percentage. For example, we will go under the assumption that a caster has 400 power points. This is the power pool. A bonus that is Power: 10% of power pool will increase your pool by 40 points up to 440. This is a noticeable difference because you have added another spell’s worth of power into your pool. The mystical essence jewels provides a flat benefit. Therefore, the bonus from it will be, Power: 10. This means that your power pool would only increase by 10 and your total power would be 410. In most cases, the bonus will not increase your power pool enough to cast an extra spell when you attempt to exhaust your power pool.

Q. Do the Backwoods Marodors in Malmohus on Midgard/Classic servers still drop the Marodor Gem?

A. The Bearded Wonder nodded firmly: Yes. It is still possible for those Marodors in Malmohus to drop from them.

Pendragon Hot Fix

'Lil fix-it note for Pendragon:
Friar Staff Styles

 - The level 21 Staff style 'Counter Evade' now has a medium attack bonus with a snare style effect.

Goodbye, Zone Bonuses

They will be missed!
The additional zone bonuses that were running over the last week have been turned off.  We now return you to your regular bonus programming, already in progress.

You can see the current zone bonuses here: http://www.camelotherald.com/section.php?id=42

The Friday Grab Bag

The Friday Grab Bag is up over on the Camelot Herald, check out this weeks edition below;
Q. Do you have a release date for patch 1.92 or at least a tentative date for it?

A. 1.92 is currently scheduled for the end of February. As always, that is subject to change! Please remember that with the new patch cycles, that 1.93 will be on Pendragon ready for testing almost immediately when 1.92 goes live. For more information about the patching process please go to: http://www.camelotherald.com/more/3314.shtml

Q. When you first introduced Siegecrafting, we didn’t gain woodworking. Later you gave woodworking as a sub skill to Siegecrafting. My question is, I was a Legendary Siegecrafter before that, will I have to skill up woodworking on my own afterwards?

A. The Bearded Wonder checked into this one: Yes. If you have already skilled up Siegecrafting, then you would need to skill up woodcrafting on its own. A good tip on how to do this is to work on a different tradeskill that uses woodworking, such as Weaponcrafting. If you try to focus just on woodworking, it won’t go as quickly.

Tech Support & Billing Closing Early

Quick note from the Camelot Herald:
Tech Support and Billing will be closing early tonight at 7:00PM EST. They will return to their desks and phones tomorrow morning at 11:00AM EST. In-game support will remain open as usual.

Hot Fix Notes

Two fix-it notes from the Herald:
 - The snare effect conveyed by the ice ball catapult ammunition will now expire properly.

 - The mechanism that moves inactive characters from the primary borderkeep has been disabled.
