Today's update incorporates balance changes to how Casters deal damage along with new additions and changes to the game world in our continuing commitment to bring you new and exciting content.
Our main goal with these Caster changes was to address group friendliness through how Wizards, Mages, Enchanters and Necromancers deliver direct damage. Please keep in mind that these changes are specific to Caster direct damage. Indirect damage and benefits changes (pets, buffs, debuffs, etc.) will be coming later.
There are now two general classes of Caster direct damage spells: Blast and Sustained. They function much as their names suggest. Blast direct damage spells are designed for rapid delivery of damage with little regard to the energies expended to do so. Sustained direct damage spells are useful for the steady, efficient output of damage. While you won't see the words Blast or Sustained in spell names or descriptions, you can probably figure out which are which from their power cost and damage.
Wizards lead up the group with the best Blast and Sustained spells. Mages have both Blast and Sustained spells, although at lesser performance when compared to Wizards, but they have the added flexibility of other spells. The Enchanter class, with its other abilities and effective damage over time spells, does not have a Blast line of spells. All Enchanter direct damage spells would fit into the Sustained category. Likewise, Necromancers, with their other abilities, do not have an anytime Blast line of direct damage spells, but they do have Wizardly Blast-like potential with their Undead only damage spells.
We also rebalanced the lower level direct damage spells to be even more effective for their level range, but not as good as they were before at higher levels. It was never our intention for high level Casters to use their level 1 spells as an effective means of dealing damage. We feel that the new spell alignment will work nicely for your adventuring needs.

Updated the Sea of Lions region with all new NPCs, Quest and Items. Take a look!
Reports of dangerous activities spread from the desert of Ro.
It is now possible to raise your faction with the Citizens of Highbourne.
Spiders in the Spider Mine now carry more worthwhile rewards for overcoming them.
Updated Ice Giant Clerics in Permafrost to have appropriate abilities.
Quests:
With much rejoicing from Rivervale, the level 45 side quests have been updated to allow Halflings to obtain rewards.
Updated the Jaeger Mansion Quest to have a level 40 requirement.
If you were involved in a Level 30 sidequest starting with Argot Bittersteel, Two-eyed Jack or Finnus Sodwin and deleted your tablet, you can revisit them to receive a replacement and be able to complete your quest.
Abilities:
Updated the Bard Anthem line of spells to correct an issue where one of the increased statistics would fade prematurely.
Updated Paladin self undead proc ability to use the correct graphic
