Sony Online Entertainment may be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day, but you can still participate in the May Loot Tournament in Legends of Norrath throughout the long weekend. The event begins tomorrow and concludes Monday.

The fee to enter is 10 event passes, and you're guaranteed to receive three Against the Void booster packs, an Enhanced Steamsuit promo card and either an EverQuest Essence of the Banshee or EverQuest II Staff of the Lich loot card.

The queues begin bright and early at 7 a.m. PT tomorrow morning and continue through Monday at 9 p.m. Participation is limited to U.S. residents only, but is void in Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Nevada, Tennessee and Vermont. 

It's time to fight some ogres in Legends of Norrath. The Beware of Ogres scenario will run until June 11 at 2 p.m. PT and will offer prizes to those who can best the challenge.

The first time you win the scenario, you'll receive the Ogre Zealot promo card and either the Knuckle Ornament of the Void loot card for EverQuest or the Painting: Nurgg loot card for EverQuest II. In addition, you can get up to four copies of the Ogre Zealot card by defeating the scenario with different avatars.

Gen Con Indy will be held Aug. 13-16 in Indianapolis, which means the Legends of Norrath World Championship Tournament is only three months away. SOE has scheduled four qualifier events to get the ball rolling, and the first one will be held this weekend on May 16 and 17 at 10 a.m. There's no entry fee and it's the best 2 out of 3 games in standard constructed match play.

The other qualifiers will be held June 6-7, June 20-21 and Aug. 1-2, so you have some time to prepare if you're not ready for this weekend. The top 16 players from the first day of each weekend move onto the second day of competition. The top 2 players from the second day win a trip to the championship tournament at Gen Con Indy.

The total prize purse of the world championship tournament is $25,000. The grand prize winner will earn $10,000, a full set of any Legends of Norrath expansion excluding loot cards, and their likeness on a Legends of Norrath card. More information on the tournament can be found here or below.

The May Legend of Norrath promo weekend is set to begin at 2 p.m. PT this Friday and will end at 10 a.m. on Monday. This should give you plenty of time to keep an eye out for Dorvias and Ashteth, the two promo cards that will be dropping in EverQuest and EverQuest II.

Dorvias has the ability to heal 1 damage on all your shadow units, while Ashteth, a prophet, lets you look at the top card of your deck and place it on the top or bottom of the pile. You can find out more about the cards here.

The April Loot Tournament is being held today and tomorrow in Legends of Norrath, and for 10 event passes you'll get three Against the Void booster packs and some special cards. The queues end tomorrow at 9 p.m. PT.

Each participant will receive a Steamwork Mender promo card and one of two loot cards: a Bracer of the Centaur Archer in EverQuest or a Badge of the Kromise in EverQuest II. You can also compete for additional prizes.

As always, participation is limited to U.S. residents only. The tournament is void in Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, Maryland, Nevada, Tennessee and Vermont.

There's all sorts of ways to get some new Legends of Norrath promo and loot cards lately, starting with a Bristlebane's Day celebration that is currently under way and will end on May 4.

The first time you will the Bristlebane's Day scenario, you'll win the Bristlebane's Bewildering Bangle promo card, which is a piece of wrist armor that allows you to discard a card and draw a new one whenever combat begins involving your avatar. You'll also get a Piko Ornament of the Void loot card for EverQuest or a Painting: Kaltuk loot card for EverQuest II.

In addition, the Pearl Destroyer and Crimson Destroyer promo cards will be dropping in EQ and EQII this weekend. The April promo weekend begins at 2 p.m. PST tomorrow and ends at 10 a.m. Monday.

It's just about that time again for this month's Legends of Norrath loot tournament. The March event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and for 10 event passes you'll get three Against the Void booster packs, an Exterminator Mark V promo card and either the Mask of Nurga loot card for EverQuest or the Badge of Thyr loot card for EverQuest II.

Queues begin filling at 7 a.m. PST on Saturday and end Sunday at 9 p.m. March also marks the 10th anniversary of EverQuest, so this tournament just happens to fall right near the MMO's birthday.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of EverQuest, and events will be hosted throughout the week in Legends of Norrath to celebrate the occasion. Starting today, the first five Legends of Norrath releases will be featured each day of the week in special daily events. Today is Oathbound Day; tomorrow is Forsworn Day; Wednesday is Inquisitor Day; Thursday is Oathbreaker Day; and Friday is Ethernauts Day.

For each day, celebration packs of 10 non-tradable boosters from that specific expansion will be available for $10. Also, one of two loot cards (for either EQ or EQII), from that day's release will be given to each player who logs in throughout the week.

It's almost time for the February Loot Tournament in Legends of Norrath, so get ready to play Feb. 21-22 if you'd like some Against the Void booster packs, a promo card and a loot card. You can also compete for the chance to win more Against the Void packs.

Ongoing queues will begin at 7 a.m. PST Saturday and end at 9 p.m. Sunday. The first-place winner will receive four Against the Void booster packs.
