looks like i'm gonna have to break down and resort to a old tech, way of using my time.
they use to use these all the time before computers became main stream they were way of life.

Bare with me this is a radical idea, and a solution many may not have thought of.

A BOOK lol yes before on line computer games they transported many a happy gal, or guy, to many worlds strange and unique.

there are a number of advantages and u many not know it :)

1. no tech support required, if you can read no more, put down the book take a nap.

2. when the pace of the novel/story is not fast enough skip a few lines and try and figure out the rest.

3. NO Trade Skills Required for reading.

4. Your not going to hurt your eyes unless u do it in the dark, read that is .

5. people will be able to reach u on the phone while u read, unless you are so consumed by the story u are actually in a mute deaf state that is really quite nice .

6. Above stated, the continued ringing of the phone will eventually result in u picking it up and talking to another human being .

7. Should your favorite character in the book be killed, you can stop reading and get another book and never worrie about doing a corpse recovery.

8. You will not have to listen to some barb war on steroids tell you about how hot your female dark elf character is .

9. Should u be one of these barb wars that seem attacted to women blue in color, with pointy ears, you might actually think of meeting a real girl, or building a female robot.

10. Finnaly you could just go to a movie, dance, call your mother , she worries about u since u play so much eq > pay your bills, get your mail, or just eat at the kitchen table for a change. You might even get around to cleaning that computer desk, that looks more like a war zone. Good luck, remeber were all eq players , were all in this together, and were gonna make it through this :) .

I had spent my whole month game card on using charcters of mine that just wont work no more. So I deleted them all:( I blame it on my connection AOL dial up because I dont know how to set up the high speed broadband that i have, I have the cable for it but it wont work. When i was playing my level 21 sk it said i could not use him no more because of something stupide and same with my level 14 shamen. Also when I kill or talk to a serten person I get a pop up saying a connection problem every time rrrr. Can someone please give me information of the connection dsl. Thanks for all who can help!

i think i have an idea why the server is down again..
i got on for 5 min after patch before i got kicked off by gm's.. im lvl 15 and fighting in crushbone... i amazingly looted a fungi and clock of flames

uuuuhhhh any body ever play battlezone or tribes 2 online and they would see e q not so bad almost all online games have there quirks heck i spent 600 $ on new games including all eq`s and yes it is buggy but i also cannot seem to play any of my other games cuz i like eq so much givem a break but i do believe the main bug that needs work is experience is waay to slo so is med time i didn`t jion to med all the time or take 10 hrs a level to get up in lvls good luck on bugs but if we get bugs should`nt we get something for our trbl like faster exp or faster med game gets boring when same lvl for a week at a time c`mon guys u should be able to lvl every 5 to 6 hrs of play time of hard playing seems money hungry to make us spend all the time meddin not gettin exp or make it easier to get exp i been on 4 hrs a day since dec. and only 17 lvl what up i may try dark ages they say lvl too fast in it but it waay more prudent to pay monthly for baddass pc than to pay 4 ever for uping 1 level a month .bottom line is if we put up with mega glitches and bugs and down time we should have more fun playing it not fun when 15 to 20 everything either green or yello almost and so many playin all good spots takin i wonder for hrs just tryin to find a spot for me.so many players on the one role playing server firiona vie it is over run by pc`s desperate for exp so bugs +down time should = a reward 4 us of some sort it would not cost u a thing but might make u richer cuz word on street is eq too crowded and too hard to level so you can go out too far place it too dangerous till higher lvl but too hard to get lvls cuz too many lolev like me fightin for exp thank you for listening valhaen of the tribunal of justice and the wolves of antonica may glory and honor follow you all

I havn't been playing long so i'm just glad to find out it wasn't my system. I had more problems than a woodpecker with a headache. I don't need comped I just want the problem fixed so I can get back to playing. I just got my girl to play don't want her to lose interest so get busy.

EQ SERVER ARE TOO MUCH DOWN REALLY BORING ****

Prior to all the SoL patching and release of SoL I had no problems what so ever playing EQ. Now When I play I get disconnected at least once per session. When I zone into some zones I can't even move. I have a cable connection so I know it isn't on my end. This really pisses me off since I am paying to play, at least I used to play. Now I spend my time trying to login or make it thru a zone without getting killed because I can't move or go LD. I have sent my feedback to VI via the feedback option after going LD 3 times in 1 hour. I truly believe that they should have upgraded their systems before putting out an expansion that requires all subscribers to upgrade theirs wether they have SoL or not. I don't have it and won't until I can afford a new computer. I can't play it now with my current machine, hell I can barely play as it is. I do agree with some sort of compensation for all this ********* Compensate me for the money I have spent but not been able to play. I don't want an in-game weapon or armor piece, that would be pointless since I wouldn't be able to enjoy it because I can't play...I want my account compensated ie, extend my subscription. All I know is that this is ********* VERANT, FIX YOUR **** BEFORE MAKING US UPGRADE OURS!

Humm. Just got the old expansion SoL and SoV. New in box and installed it. Wont execpt account Key. Tryed calling the customer service and get a busy line. I've been pretty patient on this whole situation, and have to agree with a another poster, Verant should fix bugs before they send out new stuff. Moreover I cant Log on this premium sign up, even though I got a new password emailed to me. "sigh"
I kinda feel sorry for the programers and customer service reps, with the 400,00+ peeps that are having the same problems. I think its only fair that we get compinsated, now if Sony is GREEDY they wouldent, but if a Program fu#$@! up someones computer, and the person waited patiently to get it, install it and try to run it, then had to re install windows 98 cause of this program, thats pretty extreem. "dont you think?" I feel like Sony or who ever made this game should kinda feel at fault. But then again they made User Agreements. AT least a nice weapon or armor piece would turn my faction rating towards the creators to "warmly" insted of "doubtfull" I mean dont get me wrong, it only fair, if someones goina spend money for a new video card more ram, the new SoL expansion and other expansions just to play a game, and find's out that its constantly "down" or you need Direct X 8.1 to run, or have to spend 65$ bucks a hour taking it to a Computer shop, I mean come on. Im sure that most peeps are not having that much trouble, but for some players that dont understand the working of computer and where ram or a new vido card goes, I think that some are going to move to Dark Ages of Camalot, ether or say ummmm later EQ.

Insane! I had to re install Windows 98, after I put the new expansion in. I run Amd 450 mhz wiht 256m Ram, and 32m Video. After Selecting my primary race " Human Ranger" and waiting 10-20 min to log on, i finaly did. I dont mind the new looks, but seems like the hard drive is running every 10 -20 steps you take. In combat with puma's the hard drive keeps running. Not good in combat, so i went back to the "old" effects. On a raid in EJ, 1 guild member died and the other was pretty much meat cause of this constant hard drive running during combat.

Salution: Lower your clip plan to 1/4 - 1/3

2nd put Texture in Options at long on to LOW.
3rd, Obtain more RAM. My system max ram is 384m.

I hope this clears a few probs out. Then new Expansion is pretty cool, But ill wait tell they fix the bugs before going 100% in the new looks, tell then im keeping the old Look, cuase im like this, If it still works, and your used to it, Use it. If it looks better and runs worse, wait tell it gets fixed.
