First off id figured ppl would assume the blu to be a support job (sit back and do nothing) idk why ppl intend on that. blu as well as rdm wield swords if u read the description and look at it the blu is like an egyptian turban wearing fighter. As well the rdm, if u read the af etc, is made out like a musketeer. But back to the Corsair job I could see ppl subbing nin cuz ill lay odd it'll be a puller. yeah i could definetly see the 2hr being like Tifa's from FF7 with the slot machine thing, lol.
Q: Would Luck based end up like CHR based stuff?

Somebody said something about the gun having 6 barrels, right? Well, think of it this way... There are 6 barrels and there are 6 elements. Many people have said that there would be another elemental-based job in the expansion. In the picture above, the guy is shooting a Fireball. For all we know, the 2 hour could depend on which element you have highest. So if you threw on some fire+ gear, you could shoot the Fireball. If you put on ice+ gear, you could shoot an ice chunk. Or, like they said, since the job is luck based... Maybe it'll shoot a random element?

I agree.. I don't think it's going to take away from RNG since it's not a damage dealer. It's another enfeebler/enhancer role so parties have more choices other than RDM or BRD. Now RDM, BRD, BLU(?), and COR(?) are your support classes! : D

Hopefully COR will have it's own original enfeebles and enhancements like Crit hit % up for party and/or down for enemies? (These are only guesses) The spell-gun sounds like a good bet. Shooting up in the air for Hastega to rain on the party while shooting the enemy for drop-rate increase (hehe a boy can dream) Wonder if there will be any THF cross over abilities like steal or treasure hunter involved? I mean how can you have a pirate that doesn't want some booty... er treasure.

Come to think of it, maybe it'll be less of a full enfeebling class but more of a partial one like NIN or DRK. I don't think it'd be mp based since... it just wouldn't fit. Specified shells though for the spell gun ("Hexagun") might work and would be wasted like Ninjitsu tools. Start maxing your Marksmanship if the ability to land these things are ranged ability based and not enfeebling based.

The Luck-based thing might be a timed ability like steal is for THF, used once or so per battle. Maybe doing really useful things like everyone's TP increasing by 25% on a high roll or somewhat trivial things like gilfinder on a lower roll (that would be totally useless on a non beastman fight)... I guess we'll find out in a few months. Until then -Bairen Vorland

VARITY, Add it, learn it, love it. Cosair's need Race specific and Gender specific Pirate outfits. 1 it will make them more original, 2 it'll be cooler that way

I always wanted a Pirate like job in this game. I'm a 61 THF, 58 NIN. I am leader of the LS SkyesPirates. I ask my members to call me captain Skye. I'm going to get this job as soon as it comes out, that and bluemage and whatever else. Just so I have them. I'm looking forward to all the new features in this upcoming expansion.
