Zato, from The Safehouse, had a moment to speak with DAoC's Sanya Thomas and Scott Jennings during last weeks E3 conference and has posted a brief article from information gathered from the conversation. There will be a new race for each realm. The Albion race will be a "large" race, sort of like a half-giant. No details on the other races yet. Over half of the 20+ new zones will be underwater. There will be player controlled boats to help facilitate travel, as well as underwater horse routes - where instead of horses, you ride sharks (domesticated hammerheads?). The background of the expansion is that just before the collapse of the ancient civilization of Atlantis, the inhabitants set up a series of trials to challenge those who would dare seek the treasures from their world. These 9 Trials of Atlantis, will require much cooperation and even some puzzle solving to advance. As you advance through these trials, you gain new Master Levels - which will give your character new abilities, spells, and combat styles.
