Lead Designer Jesse "Loche" Benjamin recently answered a couple questions submitted by players as part of the Ask Loche segment, and they focus on color and texture palettes for clothing and new houses.

According to Benjamin, the team is extending color palettes for some clothing assets in update 9, but not all of them. Also, update 9 will also include eight new customizable houses, and structure traders will be able to sell paint kits. You can read the full Q&A after the jump.

Is it possible that the color and texture palettes could be opened up for domestics in the upcoming domestics update?As an example, the trader flightsuit has a sharp leather texture (best looking in the game), that would be nice to apply to some of the jackets,cloaks, pants and shirts giving many new options with leather, silk, canvas and other textures. Could this be done? - Sasune

For update 9 we have gone through the clothing assets and generated a list of palettes that can be extended. We are currently extending those palettes. There are many clothing assets that have full color palettes; in this case we cannot change them, as it would change the existing ones in the live game as well.

Are Strutures Traders going to get some attending to? I'm talking about new buildings, floor plans and the ability to make perfect 45.00 crafting stations again.   - NelonAti

In Game Update 9 we are adding 8 new houses. All of these new structures are customizable, and structure traders will be able to sell the paint kits needed to paint a house.
