According to a post on the Alganon Web site, players of the game will have the ability to receive text messages on their cell phones that alert them with guild updates, news on their characters' study progress, and so on. The SMS messaging support has been introduced in the game and will be updated through the beta process.

You can currently set up your SMS account through your MyAlganon account. A step-by-step process to enable text-messaging capabilities can be found here or below.

Today we are introducing SMS messaging support that will eventually let you do exactly that. Read below on how to setup your MyAlganon profile for SMS messaging and begin using the currently available features. SMS support is continuing to be updated as the game proceeds through beta.

To setup your SMS account, sign into your MyAlganon account and follow these few steps:

1) Click on "Myhome" in the top navigation menu
2) Click on the "Manage Account" link in your avatar snapshot section on the left

a) To enable SMS Messaging options, click on "Notifications" menu option in the new window.
b) To enter your mobile number, click on "Contact Info" menu option.

That's it! You now have complete SMS messaging capabilities. As we approach release, we will provide further details on what is supported with SMS messaging.
