TL Report Round-Up

Been a busy weekend for a few team leaders it seems. Below are the version 1.62 team leader reports that were posted yesterday, if you wish to view other v1.62 reports that have been posted to public forums then check out the TeamLeader Reports section of Grail News.
Champion team leader Jubal, posted the "Champion Team Report v1.62 - June 2003" on Camelot Vaults DAoC TL Reports forum.
Although the Champion is a fun and balanced class, our effectiveness is very situational. We have the tools to perform well in duels and small group encounters, though we do not perform optimally in large RvR battles and high level PvE encounters. Our spells can be beneficial in the right situations, and poor in others.
On the LightTanks of DAoC forums you will find the team leader reports for the:
  • 1.62 Mercenary Report by team leader k8tpitta.
The Mercenary class has come a long way from the beginning of the game. Due to previous changes, the class has seen an upswing in population, but low realm rank performance and low level PvE still stand as barriers of true popularity. Although wearing the heaviest armor out of the Light Tank Classes, it can be said that it has the worse defense out of the three.
  • 1.62 Berserker TL Report as posted by Xenogenic.
Prior to 1.62, berserkers were viewed, perhaps, as the greatest melee threat on the battlefield, due to their incredible, straightforward damage. Now, after the significant reduction to said damage, Berserkers are largely regarded (by those who play them, at the very least) as a role-less melee class that is ambiguously defined as a “positional and reactionary” fighter, while only having limited reactionary options and two rear positional styles. Lacking the defense of a heavy tank while being rewarded with an insignificant offensive advantage has many Berserkers wishing they played another class, or, in fact, creating and sticking with alternate characters.
  • 1.62 Blademaster TL Report as posted by Jelinar.
Blademasters received a number of changes in 1.62. The most significant change was the shortening of the timer on Triple Wield to 7 minutes. Triple Wield now also grants immunity to melee critical hits. Celtic Dual for Blademasters also received a few changes, including an increase in damage on the Ice Storm -> Tempest -> Supernova side-positional chain, as well as the addition of a 4-second stun on Ice Storm. Bleeds on both Tempest and Twin Star received increases as well. Melee snares were also fixed in this patch, as was the block/parry bug.
