Cryptic Studios has sent out a newsletter to register Champions Online users that includes a special "thank you" gift for supporting the company. Luckily for all prospective players, Cryptic has decided to post this offer on the game's official Web site. All you need to do to receive an exclusive in-game action figure is register on the site and sign up to receive Champions Online news by Aug. 31. If you're already getting the newsletters, you're set to get the gift.

The newsletter's description of the action figures is pretty entertaining: "A hero saves lives, but a real Champion also has a lucrative merchandising deal with a major toy manufacturer. And when you're that big, you get a fully automated, animated action figure that follows your every step. Better than any scrupulous, food-needing sidekick, the action figure is ever faithful, powered by unquestioning devotion, and prone to fits of spontaneous dance." So if you plan on playing, you may as well get news and a free gift at the same time.
