gPotato Europe has announced that three new tamable creatures will be added to Rappelz in the Golden Monarch expansion, which is scheduled to launch at the end of this month. All of creatures are pulled directly from Arabic tales.

The three new creatures are the Kraken, a giant octopus, the lovely magician Tafari and the Djinns, which use the power of the wind to protect their masters. More information can be found in the announcement after the jump.

DUBLIN, Ireland – September 11th, 2009. Rappelz, the free fantasy MMORPG boasting more than 2 million players all around the world, invites you discover 3 new tamable creatures coming in the Golden Monarch extension. Kraken, a giant blood sucking octopus, Tafari, a lovely magician, and Djinn the most powerful creature in Rappelz lands coming directly from Arabic tales.

Kraken: Rising from the murky ocean depths, the Kraken shuffles across the land in a grotesque mockery of nature. These creatures appear almost innocent in their smallest stages, but their hollow eyes and hunger for flesh reveal their dark nature. Beware the touch of the Kraken, for their very blood is poison, and corruption surrounds them like a foul cloak. But those who desire power at any cost may find the Kraken to be a fitting servant in their quest for domination.

Tafari: Beautiful warrior wizards of the sea, the Tafari fear no enemy and show no mercy. They are soldiers of a lost empire and masters of ancient mystical arts. The Earth itself is the Tafari’s weapon, rising up to strike at enemies or petrify foes where they stand. The Tafari will stop at nothing to achieve victory, and only the most skilled tamers can leash these serpentine creatures of the deep and harness their arcane powers.

Djinn: Long hidden in the Sanctuary of the Sun, the Djinns are mystical spirit companions of a lost tribe of people. These benevolent creatures utilize the power of the wind to protect their masters. Relics of a bygone era, the Djinns have been forgotten by the world as they languished in their underground exile. Now the Djinns have won their freedom and a mighty prize awaits those dedicated enough to tame these fickle creatures.
