Another Update on the Dred Merge
Another 'Dred update on the Herald:
- As of 3:00 PM EDT today, we have attempted to move all the characters in the move queue. Most were successful, with a few failures due to typing errors, or the account holder logging in during the process. Read on for more information:
- From this point forward for any characters that are not yet moved, we will execute the move program at some point every business day. It is not an automatic process at this time, so I can't make you any promises as to what time the move will occur. I recommend that you follow the /charpull directions, and then log off the server - and remain off until a quick check of Mordred character selection screen indicates that the character has moved.
It looks like the bulk of the moves have been made, so future moves shouldn't take more than 24 hours. Of course, if you execute the command on a Friday night, or on a holiday weekend, there will be a slightly longer wait. For example, if you haven't moved yet, but you'd like to play on Mordred this weekend, you should execute the command tonight.
It is to be hoped that this is the last Herald post on the subject. We won't post again with the status of the character mover unless something goes wrong for a few days running. So! If at first your character doesn't move, try again at least once before contacting us.
