With the server merges coming on July 14th, the Aion Team is making sure they smooth out all those nasty name conflicts before they start popping up

If you've been concerned about these server merges and how they will affect your legion name, you can worry no more! It seems as though the Aion Team has also realized this problem with the upcoming server merges, and they've noted that they will be manually looking through all of the naming conflicts to come with these server merges. After taking a peek at all of the conflicts, the Aion Team will apply a set of crtieria by which they will choose which legion gets to keep its name, and which legion will get a server abbreviation affixed to the end.

If your legion is the unfortunate one to come out on the losing end of the name battle, however, your legion's Brigade General will also receive a free Legion Name Change Ticket so that you can grab a new name on your newly merged servers. I suspect the criteria will mostly judge by number of active characters within the legion and how long the legion has been around, but the Aion Team has not yet made their judging process known.
