In the face of dire consequences, the Aion Team has, regrettably, needed to put the first week of free character transfers on hold.

Well, you can pretty much get all the information from the title, but if you still don't get it, there have been some technical complications that have occurred during the first execution of character transfers today, and this has, unfortunately, lead the Aion Team to disabling all character transfers. In their community address, Ayase doesn't give much info with regards to the problems at hand, but he does note that it was a much more preferable option than "having to face the risk of corrupting character information."

I suppose there were some major server problems with getting those characters transfered over (perhaps it was players changing their names on their original servers, and then transfering to a server where another character already had the name?), because the Aion Team wouldn't have done this if they absolutely needed to. Good luck figuring this out, Aion Team!
