New Gods & Heroes Dev Q&A: Join Praetorian Guards

The latest Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising Dev Q&A is a call to arms! Well, it's a call for members to join the Praeorian Guards, to be exact. Probably the most important answer belongs to the most obvious question: what is the Praetorian Guards?

"The Praetorian Guards will be the elite community members who have the drive to create a positive experience.  They are the welcoming committee, cheerleaders and helpful guides; they enhance the experience of players and fans, in and out of game. The Praetorian Guards is made up of players who volunteer their time to role-play, events, coordinating dungeon runs & quests. They maintain the official Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising Wiki site. They gather player feedback, suggestions and requests for their assigned role.  They specifically focus on bug testing and helping new players with technical issues on our forums.  They help the Dev & QA Teams check new patches & features for bugs, along with balance issues."

If you've been looking to get more involved in the G&H community, than here's your chance! Check out the full Q&A after the jump to learn all about the Praetorian Guards and how you can get involved!

  • Tech helpers
  • Role-play leaders

Q: How do I join the Praetorian Guards?

A: We do have a few guidelines already.

  • You must be 18 years old or over, as you will be required to sign a NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) for the Praetorian Guard.
  • You need to be an active player in Gods & Heroes.

Q: What are the perks of the Praetorian Guards program?

A: Obviously, the first thing is that you will influence the community in a positive manner! We’ll be giving you special titles/icons for your forum account, along with a private forum to have direct access to the Gods & Heroes Team.  We’ll have more perks to announce once we’re ready to put the program in place.

Q: Heatwave Interactive has made a point to be involved with the player base. Does that also hold true for the Praetorian Guard Program? Can we help shape this program like we do the game?

A: Absolutely! The Community Team is building the program and we’re also open to your ideas and feedback about the process, the application, the requirements and the rewards. You can share your ideas on our forums here: ((insert link here))

We know you will be excited about this program, just as much or more than the Community Team! Stay tuned for more information. Be sure to check back next Friday, when we have another Dev Q&A, which will be about our Beta Status!
