Trion Team Outlines Rift in New Launch Video

To celebrate the launch of Rift in North America today, Trion Worlds has released a video developer diary called "This is Rift" that outlines numerous aspects of the game. Members of the team talk about dynamic content, zone-wide events, ancient wardstones, the reward system, expert rifts, raid rifts, the planar focus and more.

If you've been playing Rift during the beta events and Head Start, the video provides a good summary of the content you've seen in the game. If you're new to Rift, it demonstrates what you can expect to find when you enter the world of Telara. Check it out after the jump!

I've been playing since pre start and the highest I have is a 25 rogue. I still dont see your point. The higest in my guild is 40. And people will move on to a new class and start all over. What is your point if you dont mind explaining?
soo funny

Pre-order clearly stated though the whole beta testing, that all pre-ordering people will be comming to game in headstart. Seeing people with lvl 50 is very common now. So get used to it. people being up and ingame 50+hours out of first 3 days...sort of get lvl 50 before release :))

I find it funny that you think seeing someone level 50 ruins a game? If you wanted to be the first to level 50 then you should of played during the pre-start..Your statement makes no sense.. LOL

Doesn't prevent your comment from being utter nonsense, though. And this is a forum, as in a public gathering place. If you don't want people to respond to your opinions, don't post them here.

Did you expect it would take months to reach level 50? This isn't FFXI or Vanilla WoW. People don't want to log on and achieve half a level of experience in a session.

Do I think the levels come by too fast? Possibly. I'm at level 21 now and I've played for three or four days. If I hadn't fooled around with different roles and souls, I probably would've been 30+ now.

However, I wouldn't want to log on and gain half a level of experience in a six hour gaming session. That wouldn't be gratifying enough. Not to mention, it might seem like a short time now, but when you're leveling your third or fourth character, it might not be a bad thing that the levels fly by. Especially if they up the level cap later on.

Besides, it's not like everyone has reached 50 yet. Many people only just got the game. Lots of others, like me, are fooling around with the roles and souls, trying to find the combo they like, so we won't hit 50 for some time still.

If someone reaching level 50 before you is enough to keep your away from the game then obviously you don't want to play this game enough. Good for you, good for us.

Win/win.
