Direct2Drive Offers 50% Off Rift for 24 Hours

What's that? You'd like to buy Rift, but you don't want to pay full price? Then you're in luck, because Direct2Drive is currently hosting a 50% off sale on both the standard edition and the collector's edition. The offer is only good for 24 hours, so act fast!

If you'd rather try out Rift before buying it, Trion Worlds recently launched a free trial and the Ascend-a-Friend program. Both of these features can get you a 7-day free pass into the world of Telara.

So you can practically:
1. Create a TrionWorlds Account
2. Buy the game from Direct2Drive
3. Apply your code for the trial and play one week for free
4. And then at some point in the future apply the key obtained from purchasing the game and have one more month worth of playing

Can I buy the game now but register for playing later on? I'd rather use my 7 days trial first but I want to save these 30$ as well

P.S.: Oh, and when exactly did this offer start? 00:00 AM UTC?

P.S.2: And where can I get this promotion code from? Or is it not required?

Buying the game only let you have a valid serial. Normally, the game trial starts at the begining of your account (when you'll register this serial so).

It seems it's not based on a promotion code. Add the game to your basket, the price will the promoted one.
