EQ II Trailer Playing at Regal Cinemas

For those of you dying to get a peek at Everquest 2, here's your chance. Starting today and running through the month of June, an EQ2 trailer will be playing before PG-13 and R rated movies at the Regal Cinema Chain. Among the movies the trailer will be shown with are Spider Man 2, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and The Chronicles of Riddick. They sent me an advanced copy of the trailer and it is pretty cool.

The clip is out there at some movies. I had a student of mine say they saw it a few days ago.
Days are numbered?

I hardly think EQ's days are numbered based on EQ2 trailer movie house filling. You must know that in advertising they always enhance a product to get the desired effect of making you want something. Anyone ever see a add for a Big Mac and then look at what you actually get. I admit EQ2 will be pretty nice, but as long as they put time and money into EQ, and people continue to play it, it will be around. I have heard so many EQ days are numbered by this and that game, and most of those games are gone, or not doing all that well.. I think that World of Warcraft might be more of a threat, but whose to say.. I don't plan on buying either one. One MMORPG is enough for me. Wish you good gaming none-the-less..

the movies on the website are great, but you know, it reminds me a lot of Ultima 9 :Ascension. If you recall that game had a lot going for it in terms of speech and "in town" ambience, looks like sony has picked up on this. Granted the U9 engine is pretty dated today. Hope EQ2 has a better quest system and there's really room for breakthrough "action Camera" settings during fighting.
Cool trailer

Too bad the actual game won't look quite as good as the trailer (look at movies on EQ2 website to see what game actually looks like). Still, the trailer does wet the appetite.

As a side note, the "sneak peak" plays during the commercials that they play before the movie previews -
AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I saw the trailer when I went to see The Day AFter Tomorrow and I have to say...... I got goose bumps by the time it was over. I wasn't planning on buying EQ2 for awhile but after seeing what they put into making that game I may be one of the first ones on line. I think Everquest's days are numbered after it goes live.

Bah lol I've never even heard of Regal Cinema Chain.

Should just make a TV comercial for it. Anyone know if it's posted anywhere on the web?
