Patch Notes for July 18, 2006Jul 18th, 2006 at 11:47 AM by Railus

Here are the few patch notes from this morning's downtime:

- /raid commands should now work appropriately.
- Added /decaycorpse command on The Combine and The Sleeper. You can now target and manually decay any of your own corpses that no longer have items on them. Please help us keep Norrath clean of unnecessary corpse litter.
- Fixed a bug that would cause ground items to not respawn appropriately.

And a note from EverQuest Producer Chris Lena regarding the extended downtime:

"The main reason for this mornings update was to upgrade our hardware (although we did slip in a few minor things). Our operations team is working very hard to get this done but we are going to have to push the server uptime another hour to 11am PDT. Sorry for the delay."

I personally can't stand the graphics in WoW. I played it for a few months a while ago. Its a good game I suppose, just still in its toddler state. There still isn't enough raiding material for my taste. Maybe next year or in another expansion or two.

Would be nice if EQ Status monitor utility still worked - but unfortunately Sony's web site/page where this utility gets whether or not servers are up or down has either changed its format or is no longer supported :-( pity, this was a great little program.

2:17 Central.. you would figure that they would have let us know yesterday atleast that the servers were going to be down today.. i could have found something else to do besides wait for EQ to come back up. So much for fun and enjoing game to play when you have nothing else to do. Thanks again Sony.

12:10 PM, can't log in, goody. You think with all the money SOE get's from the ridiculous amount of new expansions they could afford a way to estimate downtime. Or at least to bribe us not to care =)
