First let me begin with an introduction. I am not a top level chocobo digger. I am currently level 3 (I have leveled twice). But I feel that I have enough experience to add something to the information that is out there and correct some rumors.

Some notes on BST kiting:
BST is probably the best job for kiting the Mammets. A well-played BST can kite the Mammets for the majority of the battle, taking minimal damage.
Required supplies:
3xPerskios Au Lait (Pear Au Lait works as well, but is less effective)
3xYagudo Drink

I found a good way to prevent the fish's stamina from recovering.
We all know that pressing left when the rod is on the right side depletes stamina, and vice versa
The Down direction also works. What it does is that it prevents the stamina from moving, no matter where the rod is facing (left, |

From 56-58, I would recommend Toraimarai Canal at the Windurst Walls entrance. Bring up a Dark Aspic from the first map and fight the bats (58-60). The bones nearby are 60-62, but are certainly not impossible to kill with 1 slime.
From 58-60, Ulegurand Range would work ok. Bombs to kill, along |

It's worth a shot ^^, but this is the most dangerous zone, aggro wise, imo. Things are vey close to each other and they tend to wounder all over the place. I stay away from teh Flesheaters since they hit my bats for 100+ while my bats hit them for 60-80 `-_~

Desynthing for skillups is not as bad as everyone thinks it is. You just have to do a lot of research, and take advantage of ideal situations.
Sometimes you can turn a losing venture into a profitable one by using desynths. I did this from level 41 to 42 in Goldsmithing.

I think it depends on what you define as "Decent Income"?
If I could catch two or three stacks of moat carp in an hour, that would equate to 8-12k. I have been fishing since I started the game, so I could always make at least 10k per hour fishing...but in my opinion, it is a boring act |

Another lower level area with Fire Elementals is Mertiphaud Mountains. There are two spawn points that I know of. One is on the North half of the map and in the middle. The other is in the Southern 10% of the map also in the middle. Fire weather is rare at best in that zone.

Don't forget the almighty secret of synthing:
The desynth skill cap is equal to the skill cap for a given item. That is to say, you'll get skillups (though less frequently) by *desynthing* items at a given level.
For example, if you go to Lower Jeuno at the Gem Shop and buy Silver Earrings (ca |
